OUR MISSION
Our mission is to uplift individuals with disabilities, support veterans, and encourage underserved communities by ensuring they have access to education, stable housing, and sustainable career opportunities. We aim to break down barriers and create pathways for all to thrive in our community.
Core Focus Areas:
At the Brenda L. Strickland Foundation, Inc., our work is centered around four core focus areas that collectively drive sustainable community impact: education, housing, clean energy, and workforce development. We believe that lasting change happens when these areas are addressed together—not in isolation. Through our education initiatives, we support individuals with diverse learning needs, including those impacted by speech challenges, autism, mental health conditions, ADD, and veterans transitioning into new career paths. Our housing programs focus on increasing access to safe, stable, and affordable living environments, creating pathways to long-term security for families.

In parallel, our clean energy efforts promote energy equity by educating communities on renewable solutions and reducing energy cost burdens, while also opening doors to emerging industries. Complementing all of this is our commitment to workforce development, where we equip individuals with the skills, training, and career readiness needed to thrive in today’s economy. Together, these focus areas form a comprehensive ecosystem designed to empower individuals, strengthen families, and build resilient, opportunity-rich communities.

We believe in the power of access and opportunity for everyone, regardless of their challenges. Our foundation champions initiatives that promote stability, education, and economic growth through sustainable practices.
Programs We Offer
Our foundation supports a variety of programs designed to uplift and empower individuals with disabilities. These include the Disability, NEF Education & Support Program, which provides educational resources; the Community Housing Initiative, ensuring access to stable housing; and our Clean Energy & Sustainability Program, which focuses on economic opportunities through green energy solutions. Additionally, we offer Trades, AI & IT Programs to help individuals gain valuable skills for the modern workforce.
